I've never been one to be a leader - I've always been a follower. A worker bee. The one people came to if they needed something done. I enjoyed helping people and making a difference.
Over the last few years, I've (very) gradually shifted....little by little I've gotten to another level...the "L" word - leader!
I always thought leaders were a different breed of people. "Those" people. That lofty level of being that leads us followers around and shows us the way.
I never really cared to be a leader before, but as I've gotten involved in more and more things, I've realized that I can sit back and wish things were done (or at least done differently), or I can do something about it.
I'm the type that I'd rather ask forgiveness than permission, so that may get me in trouble...but then again, I'm one to get things done. There's only so much discussion that can happen. Analysis paralysis can kick in and that drives me NUTS.
So I'm hoping to handle all these new things I've jumped into gracefully. I just told Seth the other night to not worry about things so much...I need to take that advice myself.
